The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and the beer is top notch. Leaving Hammerheart I felt like I could go pillage a village. If your travels bring you near the twin cities I suggest you make the pilgrimage up to Lino Lakes to visit Hammerheart Brewing Company’s Tap Room.
The AGLC just informed them that their brewery and all Class E breweries in the province can now serve up full pints at their soon to be taproom and they will not be required to have a kitchen whatsoever. This is huge news and other start-ups in the province will no doubt be just as thrilled with this news. In a memo to Class E licensees (manufacturers) the AGLC announces that they may now obtain a Class B (Tourist Facility) Licence allowing them to serve their own products in the brewery.
Tool Shed Brewing is looking for 100 beer lovers to part with $5000 each to raise a total of $500,000 to complete the finishing touches in the brewery and have some operating capital for the year. Now you are probably thinking that five grand is a big chunk of change for a lousy growler, what gives? Well, that’s a pretty damn good question. It was his Dad who actually introduced Laren to brewing beer at home. His Dad told him one day he was going to start brewing beer. He thought it was cool and just sat back and watched for a while. Then one brew day down the road he asked his Dad if he could take half the batch and put a roasted jalapeno pepper into it. His Dad didn’t really get it, but he let him do it anyway. In the end he wasn’t a fan but Laren and anyone else who tried it, loved it. So then it wasn’t long before his Dad was telling everyone how good the beer was and boasted that his son had made it.
